Residents of the Fox River Watershed are fortunate to have a number of organizations undertaking the essential task of studying and monitoring the Fox River and its tributaries. Data from these studies enable our communities to measure water quality, quantity, and the overall health of our watershed.  Active in this endeavor are:
Fox River Study Group
Illinois State Water Survey
Friends of the Fox River's Watershed Monitoring Network  Workshop Schedule   FOFR Website
FREP's Water Resource Committee, in cooperation with Northeastern Illinois Planning Commission (NIPC) and
Illinois Environmental Protection Agency (IEPA)
RiverWatch, a project of the National Great Rivers Research and Education Center   Website
Sierra Club Water Sentinel Project
