| Our annual event, usually held in March, has been postponed.
The FREP Government Relations Committee is working to reschedule
the program in September 2010 and it will be held in the
northern section of the watershed. Watch for details in this

| EPA 319 FY11 Grant Package from the Fox
River Watershed |
A presentation was given at our January 20th meeting about
plans for preparing a package of grants from the Fox River
Watershed to the EPA 319 Grant Program. If you did not attend
the meeting and are interested in preparing a proposal, please
check out the links below.
A Workshop with Applicants will be held on June 3, 2010 at James
'Pate' Philip Park (formerly known as Tri-County State Park).
FREP will contact each applicant after the May 15, 2010
submittal deadline to set up a specific time on June 3, 2010
where they can meet with and discuss their application with the
Water Resources Committee.

members are welcome to submit a profile for these pages.
Email a brief description, contact information, and a logo.
FREP News & Activities - We are happy to
share news of other activities and programs in the Watershed on
this page, and include them in our monthly Downstream.
Subwatersheds - much of the information on
the old site was outdated. One of FREP's goals is to promote
activity and stewardship within the subwatersheds of the Fox.
The main subwatersheds are listed on this page, with currently
available information. There are other small subwatershed that
may not be even listed here. Please contact us if you have
information to share or interest in a particular subwatershed.
Green Resources - links currently on this
page are just a start. There are boundless other resources we
could share. Please email us your favorite "green" links. |
Rain Garden Initiative - Thanks to a grant from the
Kane County Riverboat Grant Program, FREP has been able to
establish the Kane County Rain Garden Initiative. Because rain
gardens benefit the entire watershed, the resources on these
pages are for all.
Rain Garden Registry - We are especially
eager to build a database of rain gardens that exist, are being
built, or are planned for in the Fox watershed. Visit the page
link and complete and return the form to include your rain
garden in this registry. |
