FREP WEBSITE to be completely revised |
By February we plan to
launch the completely revised FREP Website, which was first
established nine years ago. Part of the update will be to redo the FREP
Member Profiles section. These profiles are an added benefit for our
dues-supporting members. Profiles include a logo, description, and link
to your Website.
Please email Becky Hoag at
foxriverinfo@comcast.net with your
organization/agency/governmental body/business information (one
paragraph), contact information, Website link, and logo file, so you can
be included.

Kane County Rain Garden Initiative |
FREP's Kane County Rain
Garden Initiative, funded by a grant from the Kane County Riverboat
Grant Fund, is finalizing plans for events in April (see below). Our partners University of Illinois
Extension and Kane-DuPage Soil & Water Conservation District, completed the demonstration rain garden at the U of I Extension
Demonstration Farm in St. Charles. A new rain garden curriculum is
being developed by Elizabeth Hagen-Moeller of KDSWCD. The new FREP
Website will include a special section about the Rain Garden Initiative,
with links and resources.
We want to collect information about rain gardens within the Watershed.
If you have information about one,
please email Becky Hoag at
foxriverinfo@comcast.net
so this can be included. Thanks to those who already responded from the
last E-Downstream.
Also - please mark your calendars for two special Rain Garden Initiative
Events:
Wednesday, April 21, 2010
- FREP NOON NETWORK at the
demonstration Rain Garden in St. Charles
Saturday, April 24, 2010
-- Morning Rain Garden Workshop and an
afternoon Open House at the demonstration Rain Garden in St. Charles.
Details to come.
We will provide the details for these events in our February
E-Downstream, and on the FREP Website. Thanks to those who have already
expressed an interest. We are keeping track of contacts to make sure you
receive the notice directly. So please email Becky if you'd like to be
on this special contact list.

FREP's Annual Membership Campaign |
Thank you to
all who have responded to our annual campaign.
If you did not receive an annual statement or have not supported FREP through
dues in the past, the FREP membership form is
HERE.
We hope you will continue
to support the important network FREP has created the past fourteen
years, within the watershed, the State, and among those who are
working to enhance and improve our communities. Especially if you
are interested in working with FREP on a 319 Grant proposal or other
grants our partnership is able to pursue, your membership support is
vitally needed to make these activities possible. |
